Help with a streak in pictures
Jul 11, 2014

During this Fourth of July, I took many pictures with D7000 in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
I used either 18-200 VR or 70-300VR with or without Hoya CP filter. I checked that lenses are pretty clean before taking pictures. Among about 300 pictures taken there, a dozen of pictures have a white streak (see orange double arrows in the pictures). This streak occurred randomly. What is your opinion about this streak? Any suggestion to avoid it?

The following pictures were taken with 18-200 VR lens with CP filter. Vignette was not yet removed from these pictures. I intended to use f11 but found to be f13. Is f13 is the problem?

ISO 125, 1/30sec x f13, fl 18 mm with 18-200 VR lens.

ISO 180, 1/30sec x f13, fl 20 mm with 18-200 VR lens.
