You know what: I don't care about the low light scores. I picked the E-M1 because I wanted a camera I would carry more and thus take more photos. I had a D300 and the decision I faced was to go up to full frame, with the attendant costs in size and weight or down to M43...

If I had a D610, I know I could get more DR and certainly better low light performance, but would that matter at all if the camera stayed home or in the car? Nope.

Just to point out — the D610 is noticeably lighter than the D300 and smaller in two of three dimensions as well.

So, yes, I am carrying my camera more and I am taking more photos.

Certainly that is a good thing!

Here's what I was looking at:

Well, as you probably know, I was only pointing out that you wouldn't have to step up in size and weight from the D300 to full frame.

I guess if I were concerned about carry-around size & weight of a D610 I'd probably start by NOT using the 24-70/2.8, maybe something a little more like this:

And I get excellent stabilization on the smaller camera.

Sure, that's a great thing!
