Ballhead for long + windy exposures

I currently own a Joby ballhead X and just bought a Gitzo mountaineer tripod - GT1542. I plan to shoot long and often windy landscape/cityscape exposures, typically over 1min and 15mph. Primarily with my 12mm prime and rarely with anything over 23mm or a heavier camera+lens combination than 2lbs/1kg. Object distance can vary between a few meters and couple of miles away. I am primarily interested in stability and shock absorption and not so much in smoothly adjusting the camera position. Assuming price is not an issue for now, would you recommend I stay with my current ballhead or suggest a different one ? Appreciate any replies.
