BIFS with a 24-70 mm Sigma
Your 36mp D800E really has some great "cropping reach" with excellent IQ and excellent high ISO performance. When you View Original and click on an area of the bird you can really see the detail.
Cropping reach with fast glass is so much more than many people realize. One can hear / read the words but may not grasp the impact. With my 24mp D7100 (with no AA filter) and my Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro I was able to get some excellent captures of a male Little Green Heron. It was like using a 300mm f2.8 lens on a 12mp DLSR.
Thanks for posting.
