16-35mm... A redundant lens???
Jul 4, 2014

Canon first introduced the 16-35 to replace the 20-35 as demand grew for something a bit wider for the APS-h sensors on the original 1d camera...

With the the death of aps-h it strikes me we should drop this compromise focal length and get back to a good 20-35 instead,  in reality 16mm is just excessive for editorial use.

Going back to to the less extreme 20mm could produce a exceptional lens at a modest price...  And not lead the less disciplined down the excessively widey 16mm route...
