"Upgrading" to CC with pre-CC components installed?

I currently own Lightroom 5. I bought Lightroom before it became a part of the now (infamous) subscription package under CC. My Lightroom installation is, thus, not associated with any CC subscription. However, I do not own Photoshop, and I'm concidering buying in.

Now that Adobe offers Lightroom + Photoshop in their photography subscription, what will happen to my current non-CC Lightroom installation if I buy said subscription? Meaning, will I be able to run my non-CC Lightroom installation alongside a subscribed Photoshop CC installation, or will I have to ditch the non-CC Lightroom installation and run a "pure" CC package?

It would make very little sense to me if I have to ditch my non-CC Lightroom installation in "favor" of a subscription based model when I already "own" the full, non-subscription installation.

Sorry if my formulations are somewhat pleonastic in this regard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
