Novoflex adapters more matt black inside than others?
Jul 1, 2014

I'd like to know whether the expensive Novoflex adapters have a better quality matt black coating on their interiors than other adapters.  Does anyone have both Novoflex and other brands to allow a comparison?

I've been experimenting with legacy lenses and adapters for short to medium teles.  I've tried some cheapies, Fotodiox, Kipon and Metabones.  There have been many posts about the fit of different adapters.  I've found Kipon and Metabones good.     However,  I can't find any posts about the quality differences in blacking between brands.  In my observation, many have a quite a glossy black interior surface that must inevitably reduce contrast.  The only well known brand I haven't tried is Novoflex, and I'm wondering if the extra expense affords a better quality (more matt) blacking on the interior.

Anyone who owns both able to comment?

Thanks, Rod
