DP2Q - more comparison madness

I have taken the DP2Q RAW from here:

http://www.ephotozine.com/article/sigma-dp2-quattro-full-size-sample-photos-25785

and converted it in SPP 6.0.1 and uploaded to my gallery:

You can compare this directly with the JPG conversion here:

http://www.magezinepublishing.com/equipment/images/equipment/dp2-Quattro-5446/highres/Sigma-DP2-Quattro-SDIM0003raw-to-jpeg_1404142695.jpg

Some comments:

I had to reduce the JPG Quality from 12 to 11 for the upload to DPR, because the JPG 12 was more than 20 MB large. I lost 8 MB with JPG 11 !

Even with JPG 11 I see significantly more detail and texture in my conversion (I had set chroma and luma noise reduction in SPP 6.0.1 to a minimum, by the way) - have a look at the foliage for instance.

The JPG 12, not surprisingly, has even more detail and texture!

In short: I'm not looking at any JPGs anymore floating around the net (with unknown SPP settings, unknown JPG settings), but rather stick to RAWs and do the conversions myself.

And so far I like very much what I get.

PS:

I used Adobe RGB for my JPG conversion and did some final tweaking in Nik's Viveza.
