I guess the "simple" solution is to find a store that one (A mount version) and then either go there in person to see if the lens has the switch to turn on and off the stabilizer, or maybe call the shop and ask them to have a look at the lens.

You cannot miss the switch, it sits right next to the auto/manual focus select switch, and if the switch is there it must be reasonable to assume that it is stabilized.
