D810 or (ridiculously) Cheap D800e?

Two things have hit in one day on the verge of me ordering my two Nikon cameras which are replace my Canon's.

1/ D810 is out which seems to fix most of the minor niggles I can see with the D800e (i'm looking at you grip!)

2/ A double stacking of discounts in Australia which means a $2400 D800 and $2600 D800e

I see a lot of people here clamouring for the D810, I wouldn't mind some opinions as to which cameras you would go for? I was originally going to get a cheap grey import D800 for $2400, but now I can get a D800e for not much more so I'm definitely leaning toward the D800e. At 1.5-2k extra for two D810's over two D800e's, I personally can't justify it. But I have not lived with those minor niggles for months or years.

Will I regret not paying that much more for a D810.

P.S. I shoot with f1.4 primes and like to cap out at 1600 ISO (max 3200) so the high ISO gains don't interest me, nor does the high fps really. I'll never do video with it either.
