Recently purchased an Olympus OM D EM 1 with a 12-40 2.8 Pro lens. Have been a longtime Canon user new to the world of micro four thirds. It is my understanding that Olympus will be coming out with additional Pro lenses both a wide angel and a telephoto. Has anyone heard the status/time frame of either?

The tele is due in a few months and the WA in about a year IIRC.  In the meantime there is a 43 50-200, 43 7-14 and m43 pana 7-14.

Is there any issues or is an adapter required when using Panasonic micro four third lens one the EM 1?

No adapter, but some purple fringing including the above lens

What are the issues when using legacy Olympus four third lenses from a E510 camera such as the 70-300 1.4 lens and the 14-42 lens in conjunction with the EM 1? Thank you for all.

I hope you enjoy carrying your 70-300 1.4 .  You need an adapter but no other issues
