If you're going in the water, I think a waterproof (dive) housing would be much more appropriate than a weather sealed camera.

Weather sealed does not mean submersible. Drop a weather sealed camera in water and you'll need a new camera. Submerge a camera in a dive housing and you're just using your equipment as it was intended to be used.
