Without having seen samples of the soon-to-be-released 10mm, which one would you choose and why, based on the specs alone?

2mm does make a big difference, however small in number. I'm coming from a history of using the Canon 17mm F4L on a full frame body for landscapes. It was a great lens and wide enough.

On the Fuji X, the 12mm is 18mm, the 10mm, 15mm.

Why not go for the 10-24mm F4 you ask? It's not particularly great for astrophotography because of the F4.
