Are you shooting any Sigma at this point (SD1 or M-series). There are two good BW conversion options available. One is to set the WB to monochrome. The other is to set the BW Monochrome option on the main (thumbs) window. With this 2nd option you tet the ability to maipulate the channels with the RAW data. I currently have the DP2M which I bought as my first serious camera, I have taken some really good images with it, but I found the focal length quite limiting. I bought a canon 5D mark III three months ago because I wanted a more general purpose camera for my needs. With the DP2M I shot half the time in monochrome mode on camera. I would usually use SPP in colour to convert to tiff into Lightroom to make black and whites with either Lightroom or Silver Efex Pro 2.

Nice B&W's, have you tried slight colour toning before?
