Audio Noise Using D800E Movie Mode
My D800E is a fantastic piece of technology. I use it to capture great still images. After owning the camera for almost a year, I decided to play, for the first time, with taking video. Nice quality but I am noticing a grinding noise on the audio track when I am zooming the lens. I assume it is picking up the motor noise of the lens when I change focal lengths. I just want to confirm that this is normal. I assume the way to handle this is by using an external mic. Correct? Or is there another alternative (other than using a fixed focal length lens). Or do I have a problem with the camera? Some thoughts or guidance is appreciated.
