Thanks for those infos !

Here is the Canon hotshoe :

Original "Ready" pin is sending some tension to the RF603c (and similar Wansen WS-603c i use ). When this pin is "live" on camera, 603c transceiver switch to "camera emitter" mode, and the two LED are green on BOTH transceiver.

On my XZ-2 (and probably any Olympus/Panasonic), the equivalent Ready signal is send by the equivalent Canon "Focus Light" pin just under on the picture. It is around a permanent 3Volts.

So when you are doing this mod, you are moving the original Canon ready pin to the Olympus ready pin You need to remove or isolate the original Canon ready pin, because it may damage Oly/Pana circuit with continuous 3Volts.

Previous transmitter/receiver scheme (RF602) didn't used this trick and worked without mod, because there was only ONE no need to "detect" it was on camera

Additionnal trick :

You can even use this "ready pin" to make the 603 detect it is on camera...whereas it is not. And so trigger you camera from far away, with the button. To do that, connect the battery positive contact (3Volts, like original Ready pin) to the Ready pin. And now, your 603 is always ready, even off camera

Better adding a switch anyway, to avoid battery draining and circuit burning
