My FZ200 disaster with flash pictures

I took a number of pictures indoor with the flash on with my FZ200 in A mode and the results are disastrous. The exposure appears to be almost right, but I get a lot of ghost movements which made the pictures useless and beyond salvage. After I discovered my disaster I tried a few shots today in iA mode with the flash on and these appear to be OK; at least they are useable.

I now conclude that I just don't know how to adjust my settings (ISO, shutter, essentially everything) for flash pictures. What should be my setup to compensate for the fact that I am using the flash in the A, P, or S modes? Or must I just fall back on the idiot-proof (which apparently I need) iA mode for flash shots?

Thank you.
