Automatic Lens Correction in Photivo (or other Open Source RAW processors)

Hello,

I tried rawtherapee and it was pretty good until it refused to start. Being tired of moody and buggy software I moved on to something else, and tried Photivo (http://photivo.org) who have a decent website, for a change. It is fast, has good looking defaults and I really like it.

Thing is, I couldn't manage to enable any form of automatic lens distortion correction using it, which is a big problem for me since my Olympus kit lens has quite some distortion and I want to do batch processing of many photos.

In the photivo manual, I can read:

http://photivo.org/manual/tabs/geometry#lens_distortion

"The Lens Distortion (Lensfun) tool corrects geometric distortion like barrel, pincushion or mustache distortion. Distortion correction depends on the focal length value from the Lens Parameters tool."

But in practice, the image is not being affected by anything I type into the "lens parameters tool".

I am posting here to ask if anyone has experience about that, or maybe knows where I should go with my question, or maybe can offer an alternative solution to this problem, although I find this software to be otherwise good to the point where I was considering writing a lens correction filter myself.
