Photographing White Horses in Sunlight
Jun 15, 2014

Hi, I have just taken up photography as a hobby and recently I took this photo of a white horse. I know it's not a good photo but when I saw how much the horses back was over exposed whilst the head was much darker I thought I'd ask if there was any way to combat this problem using the camera settings or is the only solution to wait for the sun to go in or move the horse to a shaded area or something like that?

Details: Canon 6D, Sigma 70-200mm at 144mm, f/2.8, 1/100sec, ISO 100, no flash.
