DP2M metering - a problem or user error?

Hi

First week with the DP2M and I've noticed an oddity. Every now and again, the camera shoots a frame at settings that have nothing to do with what is set. For example, I set +0.3 exp comp and get a frame -2.7 stops underexposed to 3 stops overexposed.  I can't work out if I'm accidentally pressing something or have a setting engaged I didn't mean to or whether there is something wrong with the camera.

Anyone experienced anything similar?
