Visualising Focal length by using your hands

Back in the good old days (35mm film) there were a set of visualisations you could do by holding up some number of fingers or hands.   I found them again but then noticed that nature designed our body proportions for 35mm.

Has any one seem these techniques converted for our 2.0 crop?

I know how to use phone apps, but the old method would only require a simple arms length gesture for each of the MFT lenses I'm trying to master.
