Any advantage on using SPP adjustment before converting to TIFF to export?

I am a DP2M users, and I believe like most of us, would try to avoid SPP as much as we can. I had a hard time handle portrait pictures shoot with DP2M, until I learned that I can actually control the sharpness/micro contrast with SPP's Noise reduction tool bar. Other than that, the SPP has been serving me as a merely X3F to TIFF converter.

So I wonder, if any of you , would actually find any of the SPP feature irreplaceable with LR/PS/PP programe after the TIFF conversion?

Thanks
