Thank you for your kind comments.  Some background to the shot.  In the 19th century, slate mining and quarrying was the huge employer in this area and slate went all over the world for roofing from North Wales.  The shot is taken inside Penrhyn Castle which was built in the 19th century by one of the main slate quarry owners in the area.  Their profits must have been substantial because they could afford to employ some of the best stonemasons in Europe to spend years working on projects inside the castle.  The main stone staircase made from a variety of stones is a testament and a tribute to the craftsmanship of the workers at that time.
