I accept the lower image quality of 1/2.3" sensors for the advantage of "super" zoom. (especially the FZ-200 with 600mm @ f/2.8 not economically available on any other camera)

Except for UWA, with a "super" zoom, I don't need interchangeable lenses, so it is not a big deal that option is not available.

BUT ... with this limited zoom, I would have to choose a camera with interchangeable lenses IF I did have a requirement of better IQ.

Note that most interchangeable lenses have a manual FOCUS ring, (to preset distances for low-light/night photography) --- another advantage this camera does not have.

So I will NOT be getting this camera.

I was simply hoping for a FZ-200 update, (250/300), with a WIDER/FASTER wide-angle, (20mm @ f1.4). I never used long tele much before, but now I am ADDICTED to the 600mm @ f/2.8.
