Taking the Fuji X system to extremes.
Jun 10, 2014

Over the past six months, I have taken the Fuji X cameras (X Pro-1, XE-2, and XT-1) to some pretty extreme places. The system has dramatically exceeded my expectations for what is possible with a lightweight travel photography setup. Here are a few examples:

Atacama Desert, Chile:

Patagonia, Chile:

The X Pro-1 and XE-2 even survived total immersion in Lago General Carrera, third largest lake in South America, when a bow wave crested our zodiac and soaked us. You can watch the video at the end of the Northern Patagonia blog post linked above.

Verbier, Switzerland:

I guess the only thing I want is the weather sealed lenses -- any further word on when those will arrive?

What have been some of your best adventures with these splendid little cameras?

Happy travels!

Peter
