SX50, Wide Angle Macro of a Fungus
This little guy is less than an inch in diameter. I had the camera down in the wet grass as well as my posterior. This type fungus sprouts and dies basicly overnight. It was not there at dark thirty last night but was about 2 inches tall this morning at daylight. When the temp rose about 7 to 8 degrees and the sun brightened, the fungus died and shirveled to nothing. I guess it probably gave off some spores but for what, I don't have a clue.
The fence pickets in the background are 4 inches wide and the gaps between them is 1/2 inch, weird how that WA Macro works.
