Unhappy with Epson R2000 color and contrast
I bought an R2000 to replace my R2400 about a year or two ago and from day one, it was clear to me that the same exact files I printed from Photoshop on the R2000 on the same paper lacked contrast and seemed a bit faded compared to the R2400. Nothing else changed. I know I could get a Spyder calibrator and use that (which I haven't ever done) but it just seems strange to me that the same paper, using Epson ink, and the same files would not print the same.
I wonder if it is because there were extensive icc profiles for the R2400 and the profiles available (as far as I know) for ordinary paper such as Epson Premium Glossy or Epson Premium Presentation Matte seem to be quite minimal.
Anyone who can suggest something would be much appreciated.
