Improving bokeh with Sigma Photo Pro

I just read the following article, which describes how you can improve bokeh with negative fill-light in SPP: http://fotogenerellinternational.wordpress.com/2014/06/06/foveon-workflow-how-to-improve-bokeh-with-spp/

Certainly, the effect is a bit too much for my taste, but the used value of -8 is a bit extreme. Surely a more balanced result can be had with a less extreme value of say -5. Never the less it's quite an interesting read. I wasn't aware that this can be done with fill light and exposure sliders alone.

This begs the question what else could be lurking inside SPP?
