The 55mm is already a 1.8 and that is forgiveable. I can live with that, no problem, but I think Sony needs to make a portrait lens with a really wide aperture to have at least one "cream machine" for portraits. I think f/1.4 would be the way to go. Something tells me they're going to go with an 85 or 90 f/1.8 to keep the weight down because of the compact size of the bodies. We'll just have to wait and see. I have a large kit of Canon "L" primes, but if I switch to Sony A the only Canon lens I'm sure I will keep will be the 17 T/s. I already own an RX1 - and really like these Sony sensors.
