Horrible Panasonic service! Please help!

On December 13, 2013 I purchased a GX7 from Amazon. One day after the deadline for returning it to Amazon, the tab that holds the battery in place broke. Wrote to Panasonic Service Center  and the written response was to send it over to them and that according to the warranty they would replace it with a reconditioned camera. I was not too thrilled with that, but I accepted. Nothing has happened since!... I have called twice and even called a supervisor. They tell me that that they are trying to repair the camera but the part is unavailable and they have no idea if or when they will get the part.....In very indifferent terms then they say they will request a replacement, but again nothing happens. Today I spoke with a supervisor. He was probably the worst of all... totally disengaged and non-helpful. I have the email they sent me re the replacement camera. I am at my wits end....What do you suggest I do? Has anyone here had the same experience? Any helpful suggestions_
