I just received some enlargements on canvas, printed outside because 13 x 19" is the largest my printer will do. Colour looks accurate, and I'm very happy with how good the up-sized images look. I didn't expect the canvas to have a D-Max close to my typical home printing (Epson pigment on Baryta paper) and it doesn't. But I was wondering if a finishing spray might deepen the blacks without affecting the highlights too much. Any thoughts?

I recently tested a number of methods of printing on different types of canvas.

For the best dMax, use Matte Black ink either on matte canvas or satin canvas. My best results so far is with Breathing Color Lyve Canvas Matte and a coating of Glamour II . I plan to also try Epson Exhibition Matte Natural with the Glamour II coating as well.

I originally tried Epson Canvas Satin Natural with Photo Black ink and was disappointed with the dMax.
