Nice thoughts.

But ... the RAW are quite big. How do you plan to transmit them to your tablet?

If 802.11ac can be integrated into the camera, that shouldn't be a problem: http://www.extremetech.com/computing/160837-what-is-802-11ac-and-how-much-faster-than-802-11n-is-it.

In the real world, due to channel contention, you probably won’t get more than two or three 160MHz channels, so the max speed comes down to somewhere between 1.7Gbps and 2.5Gbps. Compare this with 802.11n’s max theoretical speed, which was 600Mbps.

I think it's safe to say that with 1.7Gbps+, the wifi transfer rate probably won't be the bottleneck in getting images from the camera to the device. Even 1GBps equates to about 5 RAW images per second from a K-5. That's almost as fast as it shoots them! 2.5GBps is also about as fast as a UHS-2 card. According to Wikipedia, those max out at 312MBps.
