I was just outside, playing around with my IR converted d300 and Nikkor 12-24. I kept getting goofy exposures and realized that it was probably due to exposure bracketing being set On.

Yes, that was the problem, but I couldn't remember how to turn it Off! Had to come inside and read the manual to get it figured out.

Default for d300 is that bracketing is set with the Function button.

Now, it's good to go.
