A huge, gangly wood stork dropping quickly out of the sky as it came in towards its nest

This looks funny to me with the birds landing gear down! I enjoy the storks with their ugly vulture like faces, long beaks, big wing span and gangly stork legs!

An anhinga hitting the air brakes and lowering the flaps as it comes in for a horizontal landing

A male cattle egret all colored up, and getting ready to land

Another interesting shot where the bird is frozen in a near vertical position just hanging in the breeze! The anhing is caught in a similar landing but does not look as poetic.

Nice set, I can see a lot of difference between the current A6000 shots and the old 5N captures. The A6000 shots captures birds flying toward the camera position not just shots where the bird is parallel to the camera position.

Thanks for posting!
