Nice shot. Is that an HDR? Where did you take it from? And do you have any more posted somewhere where I can have a look? We're hoping to get into the city in the coming week.
Interestingly enough, that shot isn't multi exposure HDR. I shot at ISO100 for max dynamic range and pushed the highlight and shadow sliders in Lightroom. It's amazing the DR you can get out of cameras these days.
That particular shot was taken atop the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay. It's not readily apparent how to get there, so it's sort of a photographer's 'public secret' shoot location. Welcome to the club You shouldn't have too much difficulty getting up there use the stairs or the driveway off Hickson Road.
If you want any more shooting suggestions I'd always recommend checking out my flickr gallery http://www.flickr.com/photos/walgarch But also check out Ilya Genkin's article on classic Sydney skylineshttp://www.genkin.org/travel/australia/new-south-wales/12-best-photography-spots-for-classical-sydney-skyline.shtml
Hope this helps!
