I have to point out on #5 that the sales of the E mount over A mount cameras may be very much a matter of promotion by Sony, especially in large volume stores, as it is actual consumer preference. It is hard for newcomers to photography or Sony to become excited over cameras they never see and only hear about if they are enthusiastic enough to read forums such as this.

This may very well be true, but when Sony (or any company) price a product they have to amortise the cost of development of that product (and ecosystem to some degree) against the number of units they are likely to sell, this also works for individual components, such as a newly developed AF sensor that might make it's way into X number A77 II's but also maybe into Y number A99 II's or A77 III's and even Z number of LA-EA5's etc. The A77 II is simply not going to sell in the numbers that the a6000 will, that may very well come down to marketing or whatever, it is based on their internal predictions, so the development costs per unit that make it into customer hands will be higher per unit, this means that they have to sell each unit at a higher price to recover those costs.
