AF-c (tracking)? Mirrorless cams now at least on par with DSLRs.
May 25, 2014

Well the Nikon 1 of course did very well right from the start, but for many DSLR users it was no option because IQ was (and is) lacking. But Nikon has to be credited to show the others the way, with the exception of Panasonic which uses a unique technique that works exceptionally well it seems from this vid.

What makes AF tracking difficult is not only the AF0ssytem itself, but of course also the EVFs. Slow refresh rates or even blackouts of course make you miss many shots. Not a problem anymore either.

With this video (and other reports) we can strike this one down. Especially Sony for its lowprice and very good performance and GH4 (for some kinds of shooting virtually on par with the D4s) do a commendable job I think.

GH4, EM1, XT1, A6000 and D4s compared
