Why does GX7 AFS work so much better than AFC?
May 24, 2014

I've been getting a lot of out of focus shots with GX7 using the autofocus continuous mode even with stationary objects during a portrait session. I read the entire cameralabs review of the gx7 and after 6 months of using AFC I switched to AFS and the focus is fast and the images are tack sharp.  it seems like with the AFC the camera hunts and locks on with focus off many times.

btw the review is excellent and fills in the gaps the manual leaves and gave me the idea to switch AF to single shot:

I thought the AF was off because I am using the olympus 12-40/2.8.

I am surprised how fast and accurate the AF is using AFS.  It locks on so fast.
