Sigma 18-35mm is it the right lens for me?
May 19, 2014

Hey everyone,

I am considering selling my Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens. I am barley using it and I really dislike the limiting aperture range for low light and I want something to replace it that will fit in between my other lens. I am considering getting the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 DC HSM for my Canon 7D but I don't know if its focal range is enough. At the moment I have a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 AT-X and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM I but I want something in between that, in that it doesn't have to be too wide or too telephoto so would Sigma really cover it? I plan on using it for party photography, social events and video work but I can't justify if it is the right choice what do you think or is there a better lens out there for my needs?
