Canon A2E, Sony R1, NEX C3 & 5R + Zeiss 24mm & 16-70 E Lenses, Nikon D5100 + 35mm, 85mm & Sigma 150mm lenses, Nikon V1 + 10-30 & 30-110 lenses.

seems like the camera is adjusting the exposure based on what is in the scene as you zoom in and out. it doesn't happen when you half press the shutter because the exposure is locked with half shutter. doesn't seem abnormal to me.

I guess you're right. I have the A6000 and noticed that light fluctuation. When I disable the exposure lock with shutter half-press, the fluctuation occurs untill the shot is taken. Anyway that happens only while the framed scene light varies due to zooming, camera panning, etc. IMHO that's quite normal and actually I've had similar effect with the A99 and it never really bothered me in either camera since it goes almost unnoticed after a while.
