Why is the OMD faster at focusing?

Why is the OMD faster at focusing?

On paper, they both have the same tech for focusing yet in practice the older Olympus camera still has the edge in AF.

Fuji has both CDAF and PDAF which should mean fast AF. Is this let down by the lens speed or processor speed?

I can understand the Canon 70D being faster as it uses the "Dual Pixel" on-sensor PDAF
