VSCO for Lightroom or Photoshop?

Quite confused by VSCO's product grid. I use a combination of Aperture and Photoshop for processing photos. Considering trying VSCO but they split their product up so I have to choose whether I want it for Aperture or Photoshop. I obviously have more control over processing my photos in Photoshop, but is this software better to run before the photo is converted to TIFF when I send it to Photoshop from Aperture? I'm open to trying new things, would it be best to run it in Lightroom and start processing my shots there? Thanks for any advice!
