Website Gallery Input
I spent some time in my web hosting company's forums this morning since I'm fleshing out my new website. One individual there posted a strong criticism of how the hosting service manages search engine optimization (SEO). Every thread post (pro or con) was another opportunity for him to rant, so I visited his website. His site has literally thousands of images - a recent rant claims over 9,000 images uploaded. He has several dozen galleries, and most contain hundreds of photos. In my mind, this is why SEO is so important to him.
I respect the broader cross-section here, so let me ask this question on DPR - Do you think it's best to have maybe a half dozen galleries with maybe 10-20 images each, or do you prefer the wider approach with thousands of images for folks to wade through?
Note / disclaimer - I don't care for this photographer's image style (personal choice). However, my question is not about photographic style and image quality - it's more about website functionality and customer experience.
