Filter on the lens at all times?
May 10, 2014

My new Oly E-M1 arrived just a week ago, so I've been playing with the camera and climbing up the learning curve.  But I haven't yet purchased any lens filters.  Back in the old film camera days, I kept a UV filter on each of my lenses.  I did so as much for protection of the lens as for cutting glare.  Some others, however, shot with their lenses "naked."  So I wonder...

I wonder if I should put a UV filter on each lens or instead "go naked."  What do you do?  Do you use a UV filter for lens protection?  For glare reduction?

Any thoughts most appreciated.

Thanks a bunch,
