Advice on new monitor for editing photos
8 months ago

I'm looking to buy a new monitor for editing pictures on my PC, but this time with the intention of calibrating via hardware, so it'll be out with TN and in with IPS.

Some info:

* I have a budget of £400 ($673)

* Max size is 24 inches due to space constraints

* My PC has a VGA, DVI-I (single-link or dual-link) and HDMI ports

* My graphics card (old GForce G210, but works fine in Photoshop and Lightroom) supports 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 is supported on DVI (single-link)

* Looking at X-Rite i1Display Pro for calibration

* Monitor will be situated close to window on left-hand side of PC

Should I go with DVI or HDMI? Or Even VGA? Anything else other than resolution that I should be aware of that may influence my decision?

Info and monitor suggestions much appreciated,
