I own D800E and love it.

It is an awesome camera but the slow frame rate (4/sec) limits its ability in sports photography.

I have tried taking photos of my kids racing on a push bike and have nailed a few shots at times….

It is moment like this i wish i have a D4s… and able to shoot 10fps or faster..

I can imagine if BIF is your cup of tea, you can't go past D4s…

That's one of the main limitations of D800E….

I don's have a D7100. If you can't get fast action shots at a desirable success rate with D7100, then i very much doubt you can do that with D800E.

All the best with your selection!
