Cost of your TIME!

Hi Isabel,

I'd recommend just renting one from the rental company.

Positives:
- you'll have your GPS with you at once
- you'll be pretty certain it is all set for the country
- as a result you won't be losing a minute of your holiday to getting lost somewhere

Negatives:
- depending on the duration of your stay, this might cost you more that purchasing a GPS unit.  But then you would need to waste some of your precious time going to a shop, buying, and so on.  Not really worth it I don't think

Alternatively, and again this depends where and how long you're going, you do realise that people survived for many centuries using just maps.  But again it really depends - but it's the cheapest option!

Good luck.

Time is getting short - still haven't solved the mobile phone (have a Verizon Galaxy S3 which we won't be able to use) issue and will need a gps for the car.

Does it make sense to buy one or rent one from the car rental place.

Looking for the most costwise options.

Isabel
