Our First Spring Flower Shots

Bad weather and the fact that I have been teaching full time this Semester kept us from taking pictures. Nancy finally got out into the backyard to get some shots on Monday and we decided these two are worth sharing. Both are taken with the SD1M and the older non-OS
Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro (this lens is remarkably good on the SD1M but no where as good as what I see the new Art series of lens can do.). Both pictures were shot at 70mm, f8 and iso 200 with an Bias of +1/3. The Daffodil was shot at 1.800s. The tulip was shot at 1/500s.

All comments are welcome!
