Bummer for sure. I had hopes to get the V3 and FT-1 someday for birding reach, but now it limits the lens options.

For me, what remains to be seen is the IQ of the new CX 70-300 VR.

The FT1 works very well with Nikon AFS lenses and with manual focus AI lenses.

The DX 55-300 and 55-200 are very affordable and support single point AF.
