EF-M 22mm lens extremely loud during focusing

Hey guys, I'm thinking most of you have the 22mm lens.

I had one for awhile but mostly used the 18-55 and manual lenses.

The other day I put on the 22mm and I noticed that it was EXTREMELY loud during focusing.

I mean, a consistent vroom vroom vroom vroom noise... loudest during AF but still audible during MF as the element is racked back and forth.

I thought the 22mm was supposed to be a STM focusing motoring that was very quiet.

For reference, my 18-55 is barely audible unless I put my ear close to the lens and listen for it.

So are these normal noises?  Is the 22mm significantly louder during focusing than the 18-55mm?
